Bulls, Wade to Likely Part Ways
Based in Iron Mountain Michigan, Jonathan Heard, MD, has served as an urgent care physician at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center since 2016. Outside of his professional life, Jonathan Heard, MD, is an avid basketball fan and counts the Chicago Bulls as one of his favorite teams.
Multiple media outlets are reporting that the Chicago Bulls and veteran guard Dwayne Wade will likely come to terms on a buyout agreement by the end of 2017. After trading Jimmy Butler in the offseason, it’s clear the Bulls are in a rebuilding mode--something Wade says he doesn’t want to be a part of--and it’s likely that the team will look to part ways with the 35 year old.
Wade is the last year of his contract and is owed nearly $24 million, all of which the Bulls will be on the hook for should they decide to buy him out. Most NBA insiders predict that Wade would then either head back to the Miami Heat or consider signing with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
